U.S. Job Corps seeks renewable energy credits including hydro

The U.S. Department of Labor seeks information on small firms able to supply renewable energy credits, including from ocean energy and hydropower, to its Job Corps program. Responses are due Oct. 23.

The renewable energy credits are to offset electric power totaling 19,900 MWh for 2012, and 28,299 MWh each for 2013 and 2014. Renewable energy credits are to come from new renewable energy sources including ocean, solar, wind, biomass, landfill gas, geothermal, and municipal solid waste sources as well as new hydropower achieved by increased efficiency or additional new capacity at existing hydroelectric projects.

A sources sought notice to small businesses may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. 10122012 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.
