U.S. to seek generator refurbishment at 200-MW Table Rock

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans to seek bids to refurbish a 700-kW generator at the 200-MW Table Rock hydroelectric project in Missouri. A solicitation is expected in September.

The Corps’ Little Rock District took bids in 2011 for work on a supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system at Table Rock on the White River.

The district now seeks removal, transportation, reconditioning, and installation of a 480 VAC three-phase 700-kW Westinghouse generator. Table Rock has two 700-kW generators to provide station power. They have been in continuous service since 1959 without major refurbishment.

A pre-solicitation notice may be obtained from the Federal Business Opportunities Internet site, www.fbo.gov, by entering Solicitation No. W9127S12T0089 in the “Keyword/Solicitation #” box.

A solicitation is expected in September, with bids to be due by the end of the month. To receive a copy of the solicitation package contact Lisa R. Thompson at lisa.r.thompson@usace.army.mil.
