Vattenfall seeks refurbishment at Sweden’s 36-MW Lilla Edet

Sweden generator Vattenfall AB Vattenkraft invites applications for pre-qualification to refurbish a generating unit of the 36-MW Lilla Edet hydroelectric project on Sweden’s Gota River. Responses are due August 13.

Vattenfall said it seeks refurbishment of Lilla Edet Unit 3, including new stator winding and core, cleaning, varnishing, and parts for the 12.5-megavolt-ampere, 62.5-rpm machine. The work is expected to require five to seven months.

Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from the address below. Applications for pre-qualification, in English, Swedish, or Norwegian, are due by August 13. Vattenfall expects to send invitations to bid September 3 to a short-list of from five to seven firms.
