Vattenfall seeks unit overhaul at Sweden’s 36-MW Lilla Edet

Sweden generator Vattenfall AB Vattenkraft invites applications for pre-qualification to refurbish a turbine-generator of the 36-MW Lilla Edet hydroelectric project on Sweden’s Gota River. Responses are due December 15.

Vattenfall said it seeks refurbishment of Lilla Edet Unit 4, including the complete 16-MW bulb turbine and the generator, plus cleaning, painting, and varnishing parts. The work is scheduled for March-December 2009.

In July, Vattenfall pre-qualified firms to refurbish the generator of Unit 3. (HNN 7/25/07)

Pre-qualification documents may be obtained from the address below. Applications for pre-qualification, in English or Swedish, are due by 4 p.m. December 15. Vattenfall expects to send invitations to bid January 1, 2008, to a short-list of from four to seven firms.
