Vietnam builder wins contract for 75-MW Dambri

South Hydropower Joint Stock Co. has awarded an infrastructure construction contract to Cavico Corp. for the 75-MW Dambri hydroelectric project in Vietnam’s Lam Dong Province.

Cavico said July 9 it received a US$3.75 million contract to build a 12-mile access and service road for Dambri, 87 miles northeast of Ho Chi Minh City at Da Huoai. The US$80 million project is expected to require a year to complete.

In May, Cavico said two of its subsidiaries signed a contract for additional construction work at the 18-MW Daksrong project in Vietnam’s Gia Lai Province. (HNN 5/31/07)
