Vietnam seeks dam construction, HM equipment for 260-MW Trung Son

Trung Son Hydropower Project Management Board invites applications for pre-qualification to perform main civil works and installation of hydro-mechanical equipment of the 260-MW Trung Son hydroelectric project on Vietnam’s Ma River. Responses are due April 21.

Trung Son Hydropower took bids in 2009 for construction of access roads and bridges and for social and environmental monitoring of Trung Son, which is to feature an 88-meter-tall dam and powerhouse in Thanh Hoa and Son La provinces.

On behalf of Electricity of Vietnam, Trung Son Hydropower now invites pre-qualification for Package No. (W-MW-01) Main Civil Works and Installation of Hydro-Mechanical Equipment. Work involves construction of the dam and associated structures including diversion tunnels, dam foundations, powerhouse, and control rooms. Main items of hydro-mechanical equipment will be installed under the contract.

Pre-qualification documents in English may be obtained free of charge upon written application to the address below. Express delivery of documents requires a fee of 1 million dong or US$50 by cash or bank transfer to Ha Noi Bank for Investment and Development – West Hanoi Branch, Dong Account No. 26010000028308, Dollar Account No. 26010370001321. An invitation to bid is to be issued to pre-qualified firms in June.
