Vietnam utility plans 9.4-MW Hung Loi 1, 2

Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) seeks government approval to build the 9.4-MW Hung Loi 1 and Hung Loi 2 hydroelectric projects on Vietnam’s Pho Day River.

Vietnam’s Planning and Investment Department said EVN filed for approval to build the small hydro plants in Yen Son District of Tuyen Quang Province, state-owned Vietnam News Agency (VNA) reported.

EVN and its Chinese partner, the Hang Nguyen mining joint venture, are investing a total US$18 million in the projects, VNA said.
