Voith Siemens to refurbish Peru’s 69-MW Moyopampa

The Brazilian unit of Voith Siemens Hydro Power Generation is to refurbish generating units at Peru’s 69-MW Moyopampa hydroelectric project.

Utility Empresa de Generacion Electrica de Lima (Edegel) awarded a contract to Voith Siemens Hydro Sao Paulo for refurbishment of two generating units at Moyopampa.

Voith Siemens said each unit has two Pelton turbine runners at a rated capacity of 12.5 MW. It said the first of the runners is to be recommissioned by July.
