World Energy Congress organizers extend technical paper sumbission deadline

World Energy Congress Montreal 2010 organizers extended the deadline for technical paper submissions for the upcoming energy industry event.

World Energy Congress Montreal 2010 is a four-day event scheduled for Sept. 12-16 at Palais des Congres de Montreal, Quebec.

Technical papers related to the congress are due no later than Feb. 15, 2010.

The theme of WEC Montreal 2010, “Responding Now to Global Challenges-Energy in transition for a living planet,” provides a framework in which to address major challenges facing the energy industry. Each day of the congress will focus on one of those challenges.

The World Energy Council, a UK-registered charity that promotes the sustainable use and supply of energy, organizes a world congress every three years. This congress, a multi-energy forum with exhibitors from the field, is an opportunity for participants to better understand energy issues and solutions from a global perspective.

The WEC Montreal 2010 event is expected to draw 3,500 leaders from all energy sectors as well as 5,000 visitors. More than 200 sessions and events are planned.
